Browser Questions

Why is Gubble only available for Firefox?

Firefox is the most popular "chosen" web browser and the safest in our view. Glaxstar develops add-ons for Firefox in furtherance of the growth and adoption of Mozilla Technology . Glubble is the company's latest Firefox add-on.

I don’t have Firefox at work, what can I do?

We are working on a website to enable you to sign in and manage your children's browsing. In the mean time you can persuade your company to switch to Firefox, they know its the better browser, they just need a reason to take time to switch.

Social Questions

What kind of parents should use Glubble?

Glubble is not just for parents, it is for any family member with a child member of elementary school age. The whole family can link up browser to browser to accompany their loved ones online where ever they are.

Why is it only for elementary age children? What about older children?

We believe problems are solved one piece of the puzzle at a time, the challenges facing parents of older children are different to parents of youngsters. Existing Parental control solutions have not done a good job of addressing this fact. We are starting by solving the problems for younger children first, then we will progress to addressing the problems facing older children.

What if parents don't want kids to see your approved sites?

They don't have to, they can be deleted all in an instant and you can add just your own approved sites for your children.

Do you think children will like it?

Yes we have received very positive and thankful feedback from parents! Children love it! They can explore the web in a safely matter and with Glubble they just have the best of the web.

What's in it for children?

We think children like it for many reasons, to name two...

(1) it gives children the best of the web so they can use google to search and discover things in knowledge that their parents approve.

(2) children like to connect with family and friends online, sending messages and asking for new sites.

Do you spy on the sites that children use?

No Glubble does not spy or record any browsing activity.

Background Questions

What does Google think about Glubble changing their search results?

Google have seen it and have not officially commented. We believe it's absolutely necessary for young children to use their search engines to explore and discover things online from trusted Glubbles instead of the whole World Wide Web. For parents and older helpers their search results remain 100% unchanged while Glubble is installed. Glubble does not interfere with normal Firefox operations for grown ups.

After much research I came across this GREAT firefox extension called Glubble. At the time I liked the idea, but it was still in beta and was difficult to navigate... well, today they released a new version and it is AWESOME!

"I almost purchased the Fisher Price Easy Link Launchpad for my kids but I wasn't anxious to have yet another toy piled on top of my laptop, desktop, printer, and drawing software. Glubble has been a much better option for so many reasons. (Did I mention that it is free too)?"
